What does manual underwriting cost your book?
Four numbers about your operation today. The calculator shows the analyst time and cost tied up in each month’s applications, and what the same volume looks like when DocuMind and Sentinel do the reading and scoring. Assumptions are stated below. Change them in the demo if yours differ.
Your operation today
Reading statements, re-keying data, preparing the credit memo.
On the rail: estimated
The assumptions, stated plainly
of per-file analyst hours are assumed absorbed by the rail: statement reading, data extraction, signal preparation, and first-pass scoring. Judgment calls, exceptions, and committee work stay human. Design-partner books have run higher and lower; this is the planning midpoint.
per month is the full-time-analyst equivalent used for the capacity line. Freed capacity is usually redeployed to larger files and portfolio work, not headcount reduction.
is the rail's decision-time claim for files with complete data: signals extracted in minutes, policy rules and scoring in seconds, and the remainder is your team's review queue, not a re-keying backlog. Excludes files that need manual documents chased.
Approval-rate lift from richer data, lower fraud losses from verified signals, and faster capital turns are all excluded. The estimate above is the labour line only, deliberately conservative.
The honest version of this exercise uses your files, not sliders. Book a working session and bring a few anonymised statements. We run them through the rail live.
