Where it sits in the stack
Vertex is the system of record under the rail. Flux actions and Vault positions both resolve to Vertex postings, and exports map to your existing chart of accounts.
Vertex is append-only: postings are never edited, only reversed by new postings. Every transfer carries its origin, operator, and timestamp.
